Segregated Accounts

Meeting your investment objectives.

Segregated accounts are customized portfolios with a minimum asset size of $250,000 per account, that are developed to meet a specific individual investor’s unique objectives and needs. Our firm excels in providing this service and our team was developed to fulfill the requirements of these accounts. Your segregated account receives active management with a level of care commensurate with your investment.

These accounts are charged a management fee for service based on the average monthly net asset value calculated per quarter. There are two management fee structures to select from: The flat fee option, or the performance fee option, to give our clients flexibility and choice. Where performance fees are in place, the base investment management fee is reduced as an offset. Fees are calculated and paid quarterly and are tax deductible for non-registered accounts.

The investment management fee options are as follows:

Flat Rate Options
On the first $2 million 1.00% per annum
On next $2 million to $10 million 0.75% per annum
On accounts greater than $10 million 0.40% per annum
Performance Rate Option
On the first $2 million 0.5% base + 15% of total return in the year in excess of 10%
On next $2 million to $10 million 0.5% base + 5% of total return in the year in excess of 10%
On accounts greater than $10 million Negotiable

There is no exit fee charged if a client decides to discontinue their management relationship with LDIC. Once LDIC receives written notice of the closure, the account will be closed effective the date we receive the letter.

Reporting

We consider reporting as a valuable opportunity to maintain a close working relationship with our clients. In addition to the monthly reporting from the custodians, our clients receive a quarterly report from LDIC. These quarterly mailings include the Client Holding Statement, the Rate of Return Report, the Quarterly Newsletter and the Fact Sheet returns.

LDIC’s website provides online viewing for those clients who require more frequent updates.

In addition, we perform an annual client meeting to review your account. This provides us with the opportunity to review your portfolio in person, assess any financial or personal changes that may have occur, and adjust the structure of your managed assets to ensure we remain on track towards your financial goals.
